Chelcy Stelly is an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher of the Deaf with a passion for supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Born and raised in Mississippi, Chelcy earned both her bachelor’s degree in speech and hearing sciences and her master’s degree in Deaf education with an emphasis in listening and spoken language from the University of Southern Mississippi. In 2018, Chelcy moved to Houston, TX, where she began her teaching career. She is deeply committed to helping her students succeed by closing gaps in language development through increased language exposure, intentional instruction, auditory bombardment and parent coaching.

Outside of her teaching, Chelcy enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Aaron, and their son, Amari. Whether it’s fishing, traveling or simply enjoying each other’s company, family is at the heart of everything she does. Chelcy also enjoys solo activities like reading, shopping and watching TV.
