DISH school is an auditory verbal program that keeps family at the forefront of our mission. We integrate language skills into every lesson to enhance our students' communication, and help them reach their individual developmental milestones. Our goal is prepare students and parents alike for the upcoming education process while teaching social skills as well as self-advocacy.
Speech therapy is offered on-site to our students, as well as the public. It is not just for kids with hearing loss, but for kids with tongue ties, swallowing issues, etc. The sooner a child is enrolled in speech therapy, the better their success is in early childhood communication - not only at home but also in the classroom.
Occupational Therapy focuses on the day to day movement and activities your child may need-; such as getting dressed, brushing teeth, or holding a pencil. OT can be crucial to their long-term development, or to their everyday tasks. Whether your child has hearing loss, vestibular/balance issues, or can't grab or grip toys, our therapists are here to help.
At DISH, we are with you from the very beginning. Our pediatric diagnosticians evaluate speech, movement, and behavior in order to give parents the guidance and treatment plan that best suits their child's needs. No matter what, we are here to help you and your child succeed.
Audiology is the science of hearing. Whether your child has a hearing loss that requires hearing aids, is suffering from an auditory processing disorder, or was born deaf, an audiologist is a lifelong partner in the journey of hearing. Visit our audiologist for a basic hearing test, comprehensive evaluation, or just a consultation.
Going through unknown territory can be especially scary when it comes to our children. The good news is it doesn't have to be. Our parent and family advocate is with you every step of the way - from early education, self-advocacy, and even college applications. You tell us your goals and we'll help you get there.
