Abigail Kunchandy grew up in Katy, TX, and has loved children from a very young age. She grew up being the family babysitter amongst her big extended family and teaching Sunday school at her church. She graduated from Misericordia University in Dallas, PA, with her bachelor’s in health science and master’s in occupational therapy. After graduating and before DISH, she worked at a pediatric clinic in Katy for three years where she learned about the benefits of the DIR/Floortime model, a social-emotional and play-based approach to foster development and meaningful connections. She is passionate about helping children reach their full God-given potential and seeing them grow in their personality and skills.
Abigail is happily married to her husband, Zach, and together they have a baby boy named Seth. In her free time, Abigail enjoys playing with Seth, having deep theological conversations with her husband, cooking (and eating), baking, reading, traveling and playing board games with friends and family.
